This workshop offers students an introductory overview of the scholarly research process. Learn to distinguish popular and academic sources, when to use different types of sources, and the best places to look for those sources using library resources.
If you find yourself struggling to find a scholarly journal article on a topic you’ve chosen, or don’t know where to look in the library for the book you’ve found, this is the workshop for you. Learn to develop your research question and search terms, avoid paywalls, and some handy tricks for delving into the scholarly research process.
This workshop will be held online via Blackboard Collaborate. Students will receive a link to access the online classroom upon registration.
